Caiwynnel "Cai" Faezira (or Caileena for her name in the Common tongue) was born the youngest daughter to Duke Kelsandoral and Duchess Ravaethiel Faezira of the elven nation of Peltas. She was also born alongside a twin brother, Caelanthir/"Caelan", and to this day neither parent has ever revealed which one came out first to avoid any sort of rivalry or jealousy between the two. She's closest with her brother Caelan, as the two often had to have one-another's backs. While not born with the same streak of irreverence and free spirit of her father the way Aredhel was, she nonetheless had her own strong sense of adventure. Often, she and her brother would run off into the forests, valleys, and woods of their parents' lands to find those adventures, closely-watched and secretly-guarded by their devoted father. As young children, the Twins were only really distinguished by their choice of dress, to the chagrin of the rest of the family when they decided to switch clothes to prank their siblings or parents, but as the two grew older, the differences became obvious, at least for other elves.

Over the years, Cai developed two very distinct skills: An uncanny ability to track and a supernatural, magical ability with the bow, and to that end, Lord Kelsandoral saw fit to get her trained and developed as an Arcane Archer, with her mother overjoyed at the prospect of her youngest daughter one day serving the kingdom as one of the elite Royal Archers.

As a child, she looked up to Aredhel, her oldest sister, and admired her strength and courage to stand up to their mother, who at times was quite domineering and demanding of her children. When Cai and Caelan reached the age of 21, Lady Ravaethiel commission a family portrait to commemorate all of the Faezira children now being adults, and, of course, Aredhel's prank against her mother occurred, followed by her mother breaking off Aredhel's engagement and Aredhel running off to become a pirate.

No matter how much she tells herself otherwise, deep down, Cai still blames herself for her beloved older sister running off, and she hasn't seen Aredhel in 100 years.
